UCSD PEG Trainees Attend NextGen Seminar

In conjunction with the San Diego Glycobiology Symposium, UCSD PEG Trainees participated in the 1st Annual NextGen seminar on January 10.

The seminar, modeled after the Gordon Research Seminar Series, provided a mechanism for students and fellows with interest in the glycosciences to discuss their current research in a highly stimulating, non-intimidating environment. This year’s session was headed by UCSD PEG Trainee, Philip Gordts and graduate student Leela Davies.

The UCSD PEG was well represented at the seminar, which featured presentations from:

Nina Schommer (Dr. Gallo’s Lab), and Lingquan Deng (Dr. Varki’s Lab).

The NextGen Seminar Series provides a great opportunity for the PEG trainees to network with others in their field and to interact with world class California-based faculty.
