Inter-PEG 2013 Meeting Information
The Cleveland Clinic PEG will be hosting the Inter-PEG meeting on April 10th and 11th in 2013.
PEG Program Members registration is closed.
Affiliate registration is open until Friday, March 29, 2013.
- Wednesday, April 10th
Please plan to arrive in the afternoon and visit the registration table to check-in. Hotel check-in time is 3pm. The dinner networking event is set to begin at 6:00pm at The Foundation House, located on the Cleveland Clinic campus.
Shuttle service will be provided beginning at 5:40; 5:50 and 6:15 (last run)
- Thursday, April 11th
The program will begin at 7:45am and conclude at 5:30pm followed by light refreshments reception and poster session until 7:00pm. Please review the Program Overview for timeline details.
The trainee social bowling reservations will be at 9:00pm.
- Friday, April 12th
Inter-PEG trainees are invited to participate in a Trainee Workshop by the Cleveland Clinic PEG group (includes continental breakfast & lunch). Please review the draft schedule for details.
Abstracts will be accepted from all PEG trainees for the printed program booklet. Individual PEG Program leaders will decide which trainees will present during their respective session.
Do not include any proprietary information in your abstract as the meeting will be attended by collaborators not affiliated with the PEG.

Poster Session Information
The poster session will occur on Thu (4/11/13) at the end of the days program.
Format: Power Point, sized accordingly
Format your file to Size: 3 feet TALL by 4 feet WIDE (standard, all posters must be this size, no exceptions!)
Embed your label no. given to you by your admin in the upper right hand corner of your file (using the
poster number which is a number followed by PEG Acronym, e.g., LID 01, BWH/Harvard 01, etc.
Email your power point file of your poster (make sure it has the label!) directly to Lisa Mooney @ email@example.com.
Deadline: Monday, April 1st. No exceptions.
We will NOT have wooden poster boards at the conference. Rolled up paper posters will not be able to be displayed.

Room rate: $179 per night for either a king room or a queen double bed room
All guest rooms are subject to applicable city and occupancy tax rates, currently %16.25.
Cancellation: Must be cancelled by 4pm ET on the day prior to arrival date to avoid no-show charge.
If more than 2 persons occupy a room, there will be a $25 charge for each additional person, per room.
Based on availability at the time the reservation is made the hotel may honor the group rate for up to 3 days before AND 3 days after the official event dates.
Check-in time is 3pm. Check out time is noon on the day of departure.
Notify the hotel in advance if early check in or late departures are necessary and they’ll try to accommodate the request.
Valet parking is offered at the discounted rate of $18 (overnight and daily maximum) per car, per day, with in and out privileges. Standard rate is $24.
Travel & Ground Transportation
The following information is found on the InterContinental Cleveland webpage.
The nearest airport is Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), which is approx. 16 miles/20 minutes from the hotel.
A taxi will cost approx. $45 for a 45 min ride. Confirm with the taxi drive if you intend to pay with a credit card as some do not accept this form of payment.
The Amtrak Train Station is 5 miles from the hotel and the taxi charge to the hotel is $15.
The Subway Station Name: RTA (Rapid Transit Access) – University Circle. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle from the subway station and to destinations within a 1 mile radius of the hotel.
Wednesday Evening Networking Event
The networking event will be held at the Foundation House, corner of E. 87th street and Euclid Avenue. A shuttle bus will be provided from to the Foundation House. During the networking dinner a combination of assigned and random seating will be used for making new connections within the PEG. There will be a musical performance following dinner.

Trainee Social Thursday Night
The Trainee Social will be held at the Corner Street Alley (E. 4th Street and Euclid Avenue).
The cost is $9 per person (lane & shoe rental) and is due when you check-in for the meeting on Wed (4/10/13). Refreshments can be ordered on a personal basis.
The lane reservations will begin at 9:00pm. It is a 15 minute bus or cab ride down Euclid avenue, which is directly behind the hotel.
Bowling teams will be created with a Cleveland Clinic Trainee, who will serve as your Lane Captain, and teams will travel to the Corner Street Alley as a group.
Your team list along with the name of your Bowling Captain and their cell phone # will be provided at registration desk on Wednesday (4/10/13). All money will need to be collected when you register in order for you to bowl on Thursday.
If you change your mind about bowling between your EventBrite registration and your arrival in Cleveland, please contact Lisa Mooney ASAP so she can re-order team assignments.
East 4th Street Community
You may also find touring the East 4th Street neighborhood (where Corner Street Alley is located) a prime opportunity to experience some Cleveland nightlife. Cleveland also has a variety of museums to satisfy the curious at heart.
The HealthLine Bus takes you down to the E. 4th Street neighborhood. A 1-way fare is $2.25 and an All Day Pass is $5.00 (link for more fare information).

Friday Night Social Idea
For those people who are staying over on Friday night to catch flights on Saturday, some are choosing to go to the Cleveland Orchestra.
They will be performing Carmina Burana at 8pm in Severance Hall.
